Yamato Spear fires a wide spread of pink spearheads at a very rapid rate. It is very similar to Needle Cannon in function, but it isn't as strong as Needle Cannon is, has a bit more of a spread and drains weapon energy much faster. It makes up for these flaws with the ability to rip through multiple players and decimate at close range , which gives it a lot more potential then its more powerful counterpart. Like Ring Boomerang, it appears in a lot of CTF stages, but in DM as well.

Tactics

Using Yamato Spear

Compared to most weapons at mid to long range, Yamato Spear isn't that great. It eats up ammo too quickly to be spammed, and its ripping ability is only effective against large crowds that are in an open area. At close range though, almost all the spears will contact resulting in massive damage, so rush down and trap individual enemies when possible.

Vs Yamato Spear

Try to stay next to some obstacle, as Yamato Spear's spread makes it an unpredictable, but also inaccurate, weapon. The damage of individual spearheads is negligible, so keep your distance until your opponent runs out of ammunition. If they try to get closer to you, counter with a more powerful weapon like Dust Crusher or Napalm Bomb.
