Spring Man's Stage is another level with a very unique theme: springs! Purple coils cover the walls and floors of this funhouse like map. Floor springs will bounce players up at varying heights depending on how far they fell and if they hold the jump button or not. Wall springs are similar. They will only launch players across the map if they hold the jump button. If two sets appear facing each other, they can be used to jump up the walls!
Strange boxes also float over certain parts of the stage, ll holding a Tank of some sort. Be careful when using the springs to get on them because spring-like robots can pop out, damaging anyone on top of them and pushing them off.
Spring Man's stage features a variety of attractions all centered around a main path running across the map from east to west. The western part of the map features Thunder Bolt to the north and Bass Buster to the south. A Beat Support is at the bottom of a pit of springs here, and a W-Tank rests on one of the surprise boxes high in the air. To the east, a ledge with Danger Wrap and Gyro Attack overlooks an area with Wild Coil and an E-Tank suspended on another surprise box.
Metal Blade in right in the middle of the path as it heads to the right, between a hollow structure topped with Air Shooter to the north and a spring pit guarding Slash Claw. Ice Wave is also found on a ledge overlooking the Wild Coil accessible from the slash claw pit.
Finally, the eastern edge of the map is similar to its opposite end. Another Thunder Bolt and Ice Wave are here, as well as a surprise box topped with a W-Tank. The Sakugarne is also here in a small alcove. Use the springs here well to get it!.
Spring Man's stage has plenty of safe places to stand while firing weapons onto hapless foes in the main areas. Thunder Bolt and Danger Wrap can both work, but Ice Wave is the best option since it can be used accurately even while bouncing on springs. As for players favoring the more direct approach, Metal Blade and Bass Buster will always get in some damage if fired straight down the path the map is centered around. Finally, remember to use the close range Air Shooter and Slash Claw for any annoying foes bouncing around on springs!
V3A to V3B
Scrapped and replaced entire map as part of the SBWT mapping competition. Before, most of the stage's ground was springs, making it probably the most hated map in the entire game.
