Grenade Man's Stage is a huge, state of the art weapons base. Slick-looking hexagon patterns and electrically charged panels adorn the walls, although the junk spilled all over the floor in certain areas somewhat ruins this atmosphere. What's even more incongruous is that the stage contains few metal or electric-based Weapons, and the only explosive to be found is Grenade Man's Flash Bomb itself!
It can be hard getting around this complex, but there is thankfully a new platform type to help you. The floating Count Bombs act as a foothold, by only as long as their timer lasts. After that number of seconds after being stepped on, it explodes, severely damaging any nearby players. After a while though, they will return, cued by the appearance of their outline. Be careful to heed this warning; the bomb can telefrag you!
Grenade Man's Stage is dominated by a huge room in its northwestern corner. The ground here is very uneven, especially around the trash surrounding the Flash Bomb. Beat Support is also found here in the northwestern corner. To the south, there is an entrance to a similar large room covered in junk. Here, you can pick up Freeze Cracker, Needle Cannon, Wire Adaptor and shoot down a Party Ball.
The only other exit of the Needle Cannon room is east toward a wide room with plenty of ledges and Water Balloon in its very center. Junk Shield is also found here, surrounded by a large pit to the south in which Shururun robots pop in and out of. You'll have to brave the Count Bombs to get it though!
The way north from the Water Balloon room is two hallways with another Freeze Cracker and Wire Adaptor between them. They then emerge into a room resembling the one to the south with Slash Claw instead of Water Balloon. Duo Fist is behind a fence in this room's corner, and a Tango Roll sits on a ledge in the adjacent corner. From here, either go west to pick up the Mega Ball or north to pass through a room with Thunder Bolt. Both routes take you back to the large room with Flash Bomb.
For a weapons-themed stage, there are relatively few choices to go with on Grenade Man's Stage. The Flash Bomb is probably your best bet; it can easily frag players climbing the undulating terrain in many of the rooms. The easily available Slash Claw is also often fought over, and is valuable considering how many nooks and crannies there are to hide and ambush traveling players. Your best defense is sheltering in your Flash Bomb explosion or Junk Shield. For everything else, try Needle Cannon as your long-range weapon.
