|Based on||Mega Man 7|
Freeze Man's Stage is fought amid a typical icy setting with many icy surfaces, which is somewhat varied by a central cave area. Noteable features of the atmosphere include w:c:Megaman:Shirokumachine GTV Polar Bears roaring among the trees in the background and frozen dinosaur skeleton visible from the cave area.
Naturally, most of the game's ice-based Weapons are found here. Almost all of the others are ground-based or otherwise affected by gravity, encouraging the strategy of tossing shots from higher ledges onto enemies in the slick pits below.
The southmost area of Freeze Man's Stage can be considered a hub of sorts. Ice Slasher and Blizzard Attack are found right in the open here. The tall rock pillar in this area's center holds the Super Adaptor, reachable from the nearby cliff with Napalm Bomb.
To the right or left of the hub, wide frozen stairs surrounded by higher snowy ledged encircle the central mountain cave. On the higher ledges, you can get Air Shooter and Bubble Lead, and two Item-1 pickups and Freeze Cracker below. These two pathways meet at the northern end of the map near an open pit with Scorch Wheel. From here, it's a simple ladder climb to get back onto the snowy ledges.
The interior of the map's center can also be accessed by entrances near the Napalm Bomb. The two passages both contain a W-Tank, but the right one leads to Screw Crusher and the other connects to Magnet Missile. Both pathways connect to a central area with Needle Cannon and Wild Coil on high ledges. This area spills into the region with Scorch Wheel, but don't forget about the Treble Sentry in the other direction!
Freeze Man's Stage is all about staying high and steady on the snowy ledges while firing at unfortunate players sliding on the ice below. Bubble Lead, Screw Crusher and the Scorch Wheel are all excellent for this purpose. To defend your perch from the inevitable marauders, try weakening them with Magnet Missile or Blizzard Attack before finishing them with Air Shooter. Finally, if you do get knocked off, have the Super Adaptor handy for a quick return!
