The entire map is a sewer/dam thing. It's rather narrow, yet still has a lot of open space for projectiles the fly. There are many alternate ways to get by, it shouldn't be a problem. Least my play testing indicated it was not a problem. By the way, there's a few locations where a well placed rush coil can allow you to get to areas you otherwise would have to go around too. The trick is, you have to jump over the deadly water to pull them off. Yet the gameplay was entirely designed to not require it. (except for a hard to reach secret containing a W Tank and Rush Jet).
